We use this constantly at restaurants because as we all know, plates will going flying with a toddler! this suctions to the table and has two great leads that you an hook their favorite little toy to to keep it from continually being tossed on the floor. Plus, I know this is clean when I use it compared to restaurant tables that are wiped down with dirty towels after each use. I can put the food on it and I don't have to worry about a plate crashing to the floor or my grandson's food touching a dirty table.

My baby is very busy indeed and this works well to entertain him as well as provide a safer place to put his food in public places. Sometimes we add a toy to the tethers, but usually he just loves to play with the tethers themselves. The only thing is that the suction doesn’t always work on every surface, which is understandable. It works best on shiny smooth surfaces. Other than that, I would highly recommend.

We tried using suction bowls at restaurants for our baby to eat with us but they rarely stuck well on the surface and it was a little too tall for her to see the food inside in order to grab it. These mats are awesome because she can easily see everything on her “plate” from the booster seat in order to feed herself, they reliably stick to the various tables in the restaurants we’ve visited, and they are easy to transport in the diaper bag and wipe off afterwards. We keep one in each diaper bag at all times. The little bungee cables are a neat concept but we don’t let our kids play with toys at the table so we haven’t really had to use them, but they are easy to detach and could be used for some other purpose.
